The year 1987 marked a bold move by Harish Uberoi, who invested in APL Canpack Pvt. Ltd. and began building South India’s first blow moulding unit — pioneering the manufacture of UN-certified jerrycans in the region.

In 1990, APL Canpack began its production operations with an installed capacity of 84,000 MT per annum, marking the start of its manufacturing journey.

The year 1991 marked another step forward for APL Canpack, as the company established a trading arm to export chemicals, strengthening its footprint beyond domestic borders.
